Cleanse the Colon – A
Colonic can break down the toxins in the colon so they no longer harm the body.
This helps with the absorption of nutrients and the elimination of wastes from
the body. These toxins can be removed over a series sof colon cleanse
treatments. Once this is done the colon will work better and your body will
feel rejuvenated. If you feel run down, a colonic can help you feel better.
Improve Colon Muscles – When you have a buildup of toxins, the muscles

Detox with Yoga
Yoga has attracted much attention due to its effect on depression. Yoga was examined as a therapy for depression by Lisa Uebelacker, a psychologist at Brown University, who had formally studied and practiced mindfulness meditation. She noticed that depressed individuals usually ruminate, so she assumed that they may find it hard to cope with seated meditation. She stated that she perceived Yoga to be a better act because of the movement involved. “It causes the participant to shift focus from worries and regret. It takes you to another place – a better place.” In a mini study conducted in 2007 by UCLA researchers, they examined the effect of Yoga on depressed patients who only had partial relief after using antidepressants. Following 8-week Iyengar Yoga practice (three times weekly), the patients testified that depression and anxiety were significantly decreased. A further research is currently being carried out by Uebelacker to give a clearer view.
Happy Day
Modern technologies such as functional MRI screening has been used by scientists to get a glimpse of the effectiveness of yogic practices like meditation and asana on the brain. Khalsa stated that “We now understand what takes place in the brain in the course of meditation.” “Those who practice Yoga a lot experience changes in the structure of their brain that is attributed to their reduced reactivity and emotional explosivity. This happens at varying degree.”

Yoga & Wellness
In a recent study by Kim Innes, a clinical associate professor, and Kundalini Yoga practitioner, Yoga was said to have positive effect on people suffering from health issues like sedentary, overweight, and the risk of type II diabetes. Also, 42 individuals who had not done Yoga for about a year were made to undergo 8-week gentle Iyengar Yoga program, and after the 8 weeks, over 80 % of them mentioned that they experienced a strange calmness in their being and had an improvement in their general body functioning.
“Yoga is open to all” according to Innes. “All the people that took part in our trials, including those who believed yoga is difficult, got remarkable benefits starting from the first session. I’ve seen from experience that no matter how shallow your knowledge about yoga is, a single experience (with an expert yoga therapist around) will hook you to the act.”

Effective ways to detoxify your body
1. Encourage better circulation of oxygen through your body by breathing deeply.
2. Use positive emotions to overcome stress.
3. Go for hydrotherapy! Take a warm shower for about 5 minutes. You should feel the water running on your back. Then take a 30 seconds cold shower. Repeat this three times and then get a 30 minutes rest in your bed.
4. Take advantage of perspiration and sweat in a sauna for your body to eliminate wastes.
5. Dry-brushing your skin or using detox foot spas/foot baths for toxin removal through your body pores is another good way of detoxifying. You can get special brushes in stores where natural products are sold.
6. According to Bennett, exercise is the most effective way you can detoxify. You could practice jump-roping or Yoga an hour a day. The two are great! You could also do Qigong. This is an exercise system similar to martial arts. It includes detox centered exercises and some other health improving exercises.
